What’s New in UniFi Network 10.4

UniFi Network 10.4 adds routing, IPv6, topology visibility, cellular monitoring, UPS controls, and Site Manager updates.

This post is adapted from Ubiquiti’s original blog, Introducing UniFi Network 10.4.

UniFi Network 10.4 adds new tools for routing, IPv6, topology visibility, cellular monitoring, UPS controls, and multi-site management. These updates give administrators more ways to manage modern UniFi deployments from one centralized interface.

Enterprise Routing Comes to UniFi

UniFi Network 10.4 adds native eBGP support within the routing table, giving administrators more flexibility for ISP peering and advanced routing setups.

The update also improves OSPF visibility by showing internal OSPF areas within the same interface. This makes it easier to manage complex routing environments without leaving the UniFi platform.

Key updates include:

  • Native eBGP support
  • Improved OSPF area visibility
  • Better routing table management
  • Support for more advanced network designs

Smarter IPv6 and VPN Connectivity

This release expands IPv6 support with automatic ISP dual-stack detection and WireGuard VPN support over IPv6.

For networks behind CG-NAT, Teleport VPN continues to support remote access through the WiFiman client app or UniFi Travel Router.

Key updates include:

  • Automatic IPv6 capability detection
  • WireGuard VPN over IPv6
  • Teleport VPN support for CG-NAT environments
  • Better support for modern ISP connections

Better Network Visibility

UniFi Network 10.4 brings historical interconnect data into the infrastructure topology view. This helps administrators review past switch connections and identify when network issues may have occurred.

Digital twins also gain improved third-party appliance integration and smart grouping for a clearer view of connected infrastructure.

Key updates include:

  • Historical topology visibility
  • Switch interconnect history
  • Improved digital twin support
  • Smart grouping for infrastructure views

Cellular and Power Monitoring

Administrators can now view full 5G radio telemetry inside UniFi Network, including band usage and radio health. U5G devices also show both 4G and 5G signal data.

UPS integrations now include configurable battery threshold settings, giving teams more control during brief power interruptions.

Key updates include:

  • 5G radio telemetry
  • Cellular band and signal visibility
  • 4G and 5G monitoring on U5G devices
  • Configurable UPS battery thresholds

Site Manager Fleet Tools

Site Manager now supports Blueprint synchronization across sites. Administrators can configure one site and apply those settings across multiple deployments.

This is useful for standardizing items like DNS policies, VLANs, and other core settings across distributed UniFi networks.

Key updates include:

  • Blueprint synchronization
  • Multi-site configuration control
  • Consistent DNS and VLAN settings
  • Better support for distributed deployments

A More Scalable UniFi Network Platform

UniFi Network 10.4 adds practical updates for teams managing business, enterprise, and multi-site deployments. With stronger routing tools, better IPv6 support, deeper visibility, and improved Site Manager controls, this release helps simplify network management at scale.
