This post is adapted from Ubiquiti’s original blog, Introducing EAV Switching.
Ubiquiti is expanding the UniFi ecosystem with the introduction of UniFi EAV Switching, a platform designed to support synchronized, low-latency audio and video traffic across modern AV networks.
Built for professional AV environments, UniFi EAV Switching delivers deterministic timing and sub-microsecond synchronization to help maintain tightly aligned audio and video streams across connected infrastructure. The platform is designed to support applications where timing precision and consistent performance are critical, including broadcast, live production, digital signage, conferencing, and large-scale AV deployments.
The new platform integrates directly into the UniFi ecosystem, allowing administrators to manage AV switching environments through the UniFi Network application. With UniFi Network 10.3, users gain centralized visibility into traffic flows, latency performance, and connected AV infrastructure from a unified management interface.
Ubiquiti also designed the platform around industry-standard AV protocols to support interoperability across a wide range of professional audio and video environments. Supported optimization profiles include technologies such as Dante, AES67, SDVoE, Q-SYS, and Shure audio systems, allowing administrators to prioritize latency-sensitive traffic for specific AV workflows.
UniFi EAV Switching introduces Precision Hardware Timing to help maintain synchronization accuracy across distributed AV systems. Combined with real-time latency visibility and traffic optimization tools, the platform is built to simplify deployment and ongoing management for complex AV-over-IP environments.
The launch continues Ubiquiti’s expansion into enterprise and professional AV networking by combining centralized management, standards-based interoperability, and scalable switching infrastructure within the UniFi platform.
