This post is adapted from Teltonika Networks’ original blog, Introducing Site Manager & Other RutOS Update Highlights.
Teltonika Networks continues to expand the capabilities of its RutOS platform with the release of RutOS 7.21, introducing Site Manager alongside several new usability, security, and management enhancements. The update is focused on simplifying network administration while improving flexibility for industrial and enterprise deployments.

One of the biggest additions in RutOS 7.21 is Site Manager, a new feature that allows supported Teltonika switches and access points to be managed directly through a Teltonika router. Instead of configuring each device individually, administrators can discover, monitor, and manage compatible devices from a single local interface.

By using the router as the management hub, Site Manager provides centralized control without relying on external cloud infrastructure. This can be especially beneficial for environments where local network management, security, and operational simplicity are priorities.

The new feature is designed to streamline deployment workflows and ongoing maintenance for multi-device networks. Once enabled, Site Manager can automatically identify supported Teltonika devices connected to the network, helping reduce manual configuration time and improving visibility across connected infrastructure.

RutOS 7.21 also introduces additional improvements aimed at making network management more flexible. Users can now pause individual data inputs without removing their existing configurations, allowing temporary changes without requiring a full rebuild later. The update also expands TR-069 certificate management options by allowing administrators to upload custom certificates or generate them directly on the device.
Beyond Site Manager, recent RutOS updates have continued to add features that support growing industrial and enterprise networking needs, including expanded VPN capabilities, enhanced firewall management, IPv6 improvements, automation controls, and additional monitoring tools.
With RutOS 7.21, Teltonika continues to build on its management ecosystem by delivering tools that simplify deployment and improve visibility across connected networks.
