December 23, 2025 --- *This post is adapted from Mimosa's original blog, [Ready for BEAD](https://mimosa.co/blogs/ready-for-BEAD).* The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program represents one of the most significant federal broadband investments in U.S. history, but navigating the practical realities of BEAD deployment can be a challenge. Whether you have received partial funding, are facing delays in reimbursements, or are still designing a build strategy, your communities still need reliable broadband now. Fixed wireless access (FWA), paired with the right hardware, has become a compelling solution for many service providers, especially when cost, speed, and scalability matter most. [![GotBead](https://blog.streakwave.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/GotBead.jpg?width=1200&height=1005&name=GotBead.jpg)](https://streakwave.com/mimosa) ## **When BEAD Funding Doesn’t Go as Planned** In many cases, BEAD awards do not fully cover original fiber-first designs. Fixed wireless access offers a practical alternative by allowing providers to meet performance goals while reducing upfront costs and accelerating deployment timelines. Modern fixed wireless platforms, like those from Mimosa, are designed to deliver high-capacity, low-latency connectivity while keeping infrastructure and deployment costs in check. With the right hardware, ISPs can: - Lower cost per subscriber - Deploy faster in hard-to-reach areas - Scale capacity as demand grows ## **Build Now, Not Later** Uncertain reimbursement timelines can stall projects, but delaying deployments can leave communities unserved longer than necessary. Fixed wireless solutions give providers the flexibility to move forward now while funding catches up. Mimosa’s scalable access and backhaul solutions allow networks to grow incrementally, making them well suited for phased BEAD deployments and evolving funding timelines. ## **A Viable Option With or Without BEAD** Whether you received partial funding, no funding, or are still waiting on decisions, fixed wireless remains a scalable and cost-effective way to expand coverage. It is especially valuable in rural and underserved areas where fiber is not immediately feasible. This flexibility makes Mimosa-based networks a strong fit for both grant-funded and privately financed builds. ## BEAD Products From Mimosa ### PtP Backhauls ![Mimosa B6x 5.15-6.4GHz 3.4Gbps PtP Backhaul](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Imported%20sitepage%20images/0051039_mimosa-b6x-515-64ghz-34gbps-ptp-backhaul.jpeg) ### [Mimosa B6x 5.15-6.4GHz 3.4Gbps PtP Backhaul](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-b6x-515-64ghz-34gbps-ptp-backhaul) MIM-B6X MSRP: $810.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-b6x-515-64ghz-34gbps-ptp-backhaul) ![Mimosa B11 11GHz 1.5 Gbps capable PtP backhaul](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0047785_mimosa-networks-b11-11ghz-15-gbps-capable-ptp-backhaul.jpeg) ### [Mimosa B11 11GHz 1.5 Gbps capable PtP backhaul](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b11-11ghz-15-gbps-capable-ptp-backhaul) MIM-B11 MSRP: $2,350.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b11-11ghz-15-gbps-capable-ptp-backhaul) ![Mimosa B24 24GHz 1.5 Gbps PtP backhaul](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0047863_mimosa-networks-b24-24ghz-15-gbps-ptp-backhaul.jpeg) ### [Mimosa B24 24GHz 1.5 Gbps PtP backhaul](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b24-24ghz-15-gbps-ptp-backhaul) MIM-B24 MSRP: $1,150.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b24-24ghz-15-gbps-ptp-backhaul) ![Mimosa B5 5GHz 1 Gbps PtP backhaul](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0038197_mimosa-b5-5ghz-1-gbps-ptp-backhaul.jpeg) ### [Mimosa B5 5GHz 1 Gbps PtP backhaul](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b5-5ghz-1-gbps-ptp-backhaul) MIM-B5 MSRP: $781.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-b5-5ghz-1-gbps-ptp-backhaul) ### PtMP Access Points ![Mimosa A6 5.1-6.4GHz 7 Gbps 8x8 MU-MIMO AP](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0037553_mimosa-networks-a6-51-64ghz-7-gbps-8x8-mu-mimo-ap.jpeg) ### [Mimosa A6 5.1-6.4GHz 7 Gbps 8x8 MU-MIMO AP](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a6-51-64ghz-7-gbps-8x8-mu-mimo-ap) MIM-A6 MSRP: $2,200.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a6-51-64ghz-7-gbps-8x8-mu-mimo-ap) ![Mimosa A5c 5GHz 1 Gbps+ 4x4 MU-MIMO AP](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0037547_mimosa-networks-a5c-5ghz-1-gbps-4x4-mu-mimo-ap.jpeg) ### [Mimosa A5c 5GHz 1 Gbps+ 4x4 MU-MIMO AP](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a5c-5ghz-1-gbps-4x4-mu-mimo-ap) MIM-A5C MSRP: $785.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a5c-5ghz-1-gbps-4x4-mu-mimo-ap) ![Mimosa A5-14 5GHz Quad Panel 14 dBi 802.11ac AP](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0037540_mimosa-networks-a5-14-5ghz-quad-panel-14-dbi-80211ac-ap.jpeg) ### [Mimosa A5-14 5GHz Quad Panel 14 dBi 802.11ac AP](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a5-14-5ghz-quad-panel-14-dbi-80211ac-ap) MIM-A5-14 MSRP: $790.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-a5-14-5ghz-quad-panel-14-dbi-80211ac-ap) ### Subscriber/Client Radios ![Mimosa C6x 5.1-6.4GHz 8dBi 1.75 Gbps Radio](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0040626_mimosa-networks-c6x-51-64ghz-8dbi-175-gbps-radio.jpeg) ### [Mimosa C6x 5.1-6.4GHz 8dBi 1.75 Gbps Radio](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-c6x-51-64ghz-8dbi-175-gbps-radio) MIM-C6X MSRP: $220.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-c6x-51-64ghz-8dbi-175-gbps-radio) ![Mimosa C5x-IP67 4.9-6.4GHz 8dBi Radio for PTMP/PTP IP67](https://blog.streakwave.com/hubfs/Mimosa/2025/0047091_mimosa-networks-c5x-ip67-49-64ghz-8dbi-radio-for-ptmpptp-ip67.jpeg) ### [Mimosa C5x-IP67 4.9-6.4GHz 8dBi Radio for PTMP/PTP IP67](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-c5x-ip67-49-64ghz-8dbi-radio-for-ptmpptp-ip67) MIM-C5X-IP67 MSRP: $140.00 [Log In for Your Price](https://streakwave.com/mimosa-networks-c5x-ip67-49-64ghz-8dbi-radio-for-ptmpptp-ip67) ## **Planning Your Next Deployment** As BEAD requirements continue to evolve, network flexibility matters more than ever.
