Written by Streakwave | Feb 27, 2026 5:58:55 PM

Designed for outdoor installs, the GWN7605CLR is a dual-band 802.11ac Wave-2 outdoor access point designed for long-range coverage and straightforward deployment in harsh environments. It’s built for IP66-rated weatherproof installs, supports 100+ concurrent clients, and is aimed at low-to-medium density outdoor networks where reliability matters as much as raw speed.

See the original press release from Grandstream.

The Phoenix Connector

The GWN7605CLR adds a built-in Phoenix Connector that supports 12–24V DC power, giving you a practical option when PoE isn’t available or isn’t worth the run. It can still be powered via PoE/PoE+, but the Phoenix Connector makes pole, perimeter, and outbuilding installs much easier when low-voltage wiring is already present.

Quick Specs

  • Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave-2)
  • 2x2 MU-MIMO + beamforming for better client handling
