EnGenius ECW536S: Wi-Fi 7 Access Point with AirGuard™ Security
EnGenius ECW536S delivers tri-band Wi-Fi 7 speed plus AirGuard™ WIDS/WIPS for 24/7 wireless threat detection and prevention.

As Wi-Fi 7 rolls into more business networks, speed and capacity are only part of the story. The real challenge is delivering next-gen wireless performance without leaving the airspace unprotected. The EnGenius ECW536S is designed for exactly that—pairing tri-band Wi-Fi 7 (4x4x4) with AirGuard™ WIDS/WIPS, a built-in wireless security system that continuously monitors for threats using dedicated scanning radios.
Wi-Fi 7 Performance for High-Density Indoor Networks
The ECW536S is built for busy environments—supporting up to 1,500 devices, with coverage around 1,500 sq. ft. (site-dependent) and a Wi-Fi 7 “up to 18.7 Gbps” class rating across 2.4/5/6 GHz. On the wired side, it includes dual 10 GbE ports, with PoE++ support on one port to simplify ceiling-mount installs while keeping uplinks ready for Wi-Fi 7 traffic.
AirGuard™ Security: Built-in WIDS/WIPS with Dedicated Scanning
AirGuard™ adds continuous wireless intrusion detection and prevention using dedicated scanning radios, so threat monitoring runs in the background while the AP continues serving clients at full performance. It’s designed to detect and help mitigate common WLAN risks like rogue APs, evil twin SSIDs, jamming, man-in-the-middle attempts, and flood-style attacks, with response workflows managed in EnGenius Cloud.
Key Benefits
Wi-Fi 7 without the security blind spot: AirGuard™ runs 24/7 WIDS/WIPS so you’re not choosing between performance and protection.
Dedicated scanning keeps clients fast: Continuous monitoring is handled by dedicated security radios, helping avoid the typical tradeoff of scanning vs. serving users.
Faster threat response, less guesswork: Built-in tools help identify issues like rogue APs, evil twins, jamming, and MITM attempts, with cloud visibility and alerting.
Cleaner RF decisions in busy environments: RF spectrum analysis improves visibility into what’s happening in the airspace, making it easier to validate SSIDs and tune channels.
Enterprise-ready uplink for real Wi-Fi 7 loads: A 10 GbE PoE++ uplink helps prevent wired bottlenecks as you scale capacity and client counts.
