Broadband Taiwan 2009 is organized by TAITRA and TEEMA, and co-organized by WiMAX Forum, ITRI, III and TCA under the advisory of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Industrial Development Bureau,
Ministry of Economic Affairs.This tradeshow will set new record by
holding in conjunction with international conferences including WiMAX
Forum Member Conference, WiMAX Summit Taiwan 2009, IPTV development
Forum, Broadband Forum Taiwan 2009. Together with the promotional
support of more than 50 overseas branches of TAITRA, it is expected to
draw more than 3000 global participants (including members from WiMAX
Forum, Femto Forum, Wi-Fi Alliance, and Bluetooth SIG) of top caliber
from the telecommunication industry.
Broadband
Taiwan 2009 will shed light on the foremost technology developments in
global telecommunication industry. Joined by the best suppliers of
Taiwan and international key players, it is a must-attend event of

Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)
TAITRA
is Taiwan's foremost non-profit trade promotion organization and was
founded in 1970 to help promote foreign trade. Our efforts embrace
market promotion, compiling and publishing trade information,
organizing exhibitions, offering convention services, providing trade
education and Taiwantrade, and e-Trading Hub Services. Besides being
the largest exhibition organizer in Taiwan, TAITRA is also the
administrator of Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), Taipei International
Convention Center (TICC), and the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Center that
is opening in 2008
Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA)
TEEMA
is an association with a long history, an excellent tradition and a
sizable yet healthy development. It is also the family of all the
member manufacturers. Under the joint endeavor of the successive
chairmen, directors, supervisors and the administrative staff, the
organization has established a sound and performing modus operandi – a
model which has striven not only for the benefits and protections for
the industries, but also a communication link bridging with the
government.

WiMAX Forum
The
WiMAX Forum® is an industry-led, not-for-profit organization formed to
certify and promote the compatibility and interoperability of broadband
wireless products based upon the harmonized IEEE 802.16/ETSI HiperMAN
standard. A WiMAX Forum goal is to accelerate the introduction of these
systems into the marketplace. WiMAX Forum Certified™ products are fully
interoperable and support broadband fixed, portable and mobile
services. Along these lines, the WiMAX Forum works closely with service
providers and regulators to ensure that WiMAX Forum Certified systems
meet customer and government requirements.
Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)
The Industrial Technology Research Institute - ITRI - is a primary R&D center for industry in Taiwan.
In 1973, when ITRI was founded, there was very little high-tech
industry in Taiwan. Today, Taiwan is a world-class player in
semiconductors, personal computers, and many other high-tech sectors.
ITRI has played a significant role in this transformation.
Institute of Information Industry (III)
The
Institute for Information Industry (III) was established in 1979 as a
non-governmental organization, jointly sponsored by the Taiwan
government and prominent private enterprises, for the purpose of
strengthening the developments of information industry in Taiwan. III
has been a source of vision, innovation, technological excellence and a
major contributor to Taiwan's development into a significant player in the global ICT area. Whilst
dedicated to reinforce industrial development, III has also helped
promoting full utilization of ICT technologies hence advancing the
establishment of modern information society development in Taiwan.
Taipei Computer Association
Taipei
Computer Association (TCA) is as non-profit organization that was
established on November 5, 1974. The association is the premier
representative of Taiwan’s IT industry, as its members account for
approximately 90% of Taiwan’s IT industry’s total production value. TCA
organizes more than 6 local exhibitions each year which together
attract more than 3 million visitors, and it is also the co-organizer
of the second most important computer exhibition in the world, COMPUTEX
TAIPEI. For TCA, it has always striven to be the driving force of
Taiwan’s IT industry as well as being a world-class business
association.
